Whiplash and Chiropractic

Chiropractic: The Logical Choice For Car Accident Victims

One of the number one reasons that people come to us is for whiplash injuries that involve the neck,  back, and head.  As a consequence of rapid speeding up followed by slowing down of the neck muscles, ligaments, and tendons in rear end, frontal, and oblique crashes injuries ranging from mild sprains to spinal disc injuries often occur.  Injuries to the lower back are equally common and often related to shearing stress across the waist when restraint systems come in forceful contact with the pelvis

Since our training in chiropractic is predominantly in the treatment of the hard and soft tissues that support the neck and back a chiropractor is th obvious choice for whiplash trauma.  In fact a well trained chiropractor likely has more experience treating for and has a broader range of care for whiplash than your internist does.  Dr. Rubano has been caring for accident victims since 1994, treating on average 100 cases a year over that time.  That is nearly 1500 people in ths category of injury alone.  Our treatments range include chiropractic manipulation techniques, soft tissue massage therapy, ultrasound, electrotherapy, stretching and strengthening programs, non surgical spinal decompression for disc related injuries, and cold laser therapy.

In addition to that we have the ability to prescribe at home care plans and nutritional supplementation to support your body's recovery process or when necessary make referrals to specialist in the fields of neurology/neurosurgery and/or orthopedics.

In addition to our range of treatment options and experience we also have the full diagnostic capability.  In our office we are equipped for plain film x-rays and we frequently refer to nearby imaging centers for CT Scans, MRI, and Diagnostic Ultrasounds as necessary.

When warranted we fully coooperate with our patients legal team by providing timely reports, working as a liason with other providers, and by giving sworn expert testimony.

If you have been involved in a car accident recently, or believe you may have suffered an injury to your neck or back through someone else's negligence, call our Fort Myers office at (239)481-8811.  In most cases accident victims will have little or no out of pocket expense to determine the extent of their injuries and receive the necessary treatment for accident related complaints.
